Faith, hope and believing in the unknown

It's been a little while since I talked about release. It's been awhile since Christmas and New Year. How are you going? How are those resolutions coming along?

Tonight, I'm thinking about faith, hope and believing in the unknown.

Sometimes, when you go through a particularly challenging time in your life, it's easy to lose faith and hope. The things you knew for certain no longer are true and the places in which you had placed your faith no longer exist. You lose faith in many things, but one of the most frightening things is losing faith in yourself. We all have particular gifts. How is it that when things seem bleak, we lose faith in the gifts we have always had? Sometimes, it is only through people that know us....really know us...that we are able to remember the gifts we have and use them in the way they were intended.

When things seem out of control and don't make sense, it's too easy to lose hope. Hope is the thing that keeps us moving forward. Hope for a better day. Hope for release from pain. Hope for something beautiful. Hope for something special and real. Hope for the future. We are in a state of suspension when we don't have hope. Hope can come from kind words, honestly spoken. From a friend who recognises the gift in you. Hope, at its smallest is a tiny glimmer, and at its biggest, makes anything seem possible.

Believing in the unknown is an act of faith. Do you believe in things you can't see? You have faith. Sometimes, things are too nebulous to confirm. They are unknown. Do you believe in the unknown, that good things can happen, or do you ignore the hope and only believe in what you know?

I think, that great things can happen when we have an open mind and an open heart. We can have faith in our talents and abilities- that they truly exist and can be used for great things. That we have hope-hope for the future for something bigger, and sometimes seemingly impossible. That we believe in the unknown-even though we can't see it right now, things will become clearer one day.

Tonight, I wish for you the freedom that comes from faith, hope and the belief in the unknown, with hearts and minds open to all sorts of possibility. Who knows what might happen?
